Service Schedule for K-Series 1.6 litre 6 speed

Inspired by the Shaun_E Service schedule for Duratec I've created something similar for K-Series owners.  However, I would appreciate comments from wiser heads before submitting - see link

Coolant    Check level and top up    Comma coldstream, or water in hot climates

Needs to say which Coldstream coolant. Where does the advice on hot climates come from? I wouldn't choose to run a K without appropriate inhibitors.

Sump foam, if present. Needs age as well as mileage limit.

Spelling of gaiters.

Move the two rows about spark plugs together.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I've only just come across this. Are you still collecting comments?  If so, here are a few:

Engine oil:  recommendation used to be Comma Motorsport 5W/50.  Has that changed?

Carburettor:  there isn't one

Steering joints and gaitors: spelling of "gaitors" (as JK mentioned)

A-frame bush:  there are three - the rear (de Dion) one is more likely to need attention

Brake fluid: also time-limited (typically 2 years)

Coil lead:  more than just one

Distributor cap: EU2 only

Rotor arm: EU2 only

Cam belts:  there's only the one

 

I'd add something about checking the oil pressure gauge, given the unreliability of the standard sender.
