A7 OOH
A long story but I have damaged my alternator end cap and cannot sort out the connections? Are these simple spade push connectors or are they contained in a single plug in connector.I probably need to replace the end cap in full, are these available as a separate part or do I need to replace the complete unit.Awkward spot but can anyone supply a picture of the connections. Thanks
Member Jonathan Kay Posted April 10, 2022 Member Share Posted April 10, 2022 There's a limited range of terminal patterns. Please can you add some photos or sketches and a description of the wire colours and sizes, which are pretty standard. And any identification letters next to the terminals. And a model number if you can find one.Are you describing the end of the alternator itself, or an external cap that is attached to the wires and clips onto the alternator?Local specialists are often excellent and cheap at repairing alternators and starters.I have the factory wiring diagrams: please send me a Private Message with your email address if you'd like them.JonathanBritish wiring colours. Drumster
I had this type of connector on my x/flow. Maybe see if a local auto electrician can supply the end cap?
