Caterham 5 speed gearbox for Duratec engine

Anyone have a Caterham 5 speed (based on MX5 I believe) for sale?

Are you looking for a box to replace your existing Mazda box or converting your car to a Duratec...?

The box is Mazda but rebuilt into a new half casing to correct the orientation as Mazda cant the engine over in the MX-5

If the later you should consider a Type 9, you can build them into full alloy casing and there's a massive choice of ratios available where as the Mazda box has stock ratios which aren't perfect for a 7

And there lighter too.

Tracsport semi heli kit and full alloy case with 2.29 1st gear.......

Looks fab but way over my budget.

I can get a mx5 5 speed for £300 but as you say would be at 10 degrees tilt.

Its for a mk1 Escort rebuild, to mate to a 2.5 Duratec.

Is tempting though...
