Area Representative Tin Man Posted July 29, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted July 29, 2021 Hi everyone I have noticed a whine when on throttle which starts at around 4,500 RPM, which I assume is from the transmission. If I lift off the throttle the sound disappears, but it immediately reappears when I get back on the throttle. Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? Many thanksJohn
OldAndrewE
Could be a bearing somewhere complaining when under load. Does it do it in all gears?I must say though that I don't know anything about this particular transmission. Hopefully someone more familiar will have a better idea
Area Representative Tin Man Posted July 29, 2021 Author Area Representative Share Posted July 29, 2021 Going to take the 7 on a dual carriageway and see if it does this in the lower gears.
