Indeed - I tend to use Hermes and not had too much hassle - sent some heavy duty carver clamps most of the way down the UK last week for surprisingly little.  The usual issue to finding something to wrap and box things in securely enough to survive being chucked about - although in this case, and with the carver clamps, its more protecting the other parcels :)
