r300chris
Hi all recently changed tyres on my car speedo sensor on front left wheel, tyres changed from Cr500 195/45/15 to 195/50/15 it is now reading 65mph when doing 70mph. Does anyone know what code to enter into stack to adjust. I will ring them tomorrow, but thought I'd try here 1st

Area Representative Richard Price Posted July 19, 2020 Area Representative Share Posted July 19, 2020 The maths from nominal tyre sizes suggest that there is a nominal 3.5% difference. So, check what the current setting is then multiply that by 0.965ish.However, your 70 and an indicated 65 suggests a difference closer to 7%... (so adjusting the existing setting by 0.93 may be more appropriate)
r300chris
I found the diameter set in stack was 1650, this doesn't correspond to any tyre dimension, but probably equates to diameter of where the sensor measures the wheel, I have multiplied and have reset to 1753, so may have gone wrong way, will try and see. aerobod - near CYYC
That value is probably the rolling circumference in millimetres, easily checked by putting a chalk mark on the tyre and ground and pushing the car a set number of tyre revolutions (such as 10) and measuring the distance.
