alan-n
we have a classic 7 2003 and want to replace the caterham 4 point harnesses with something easier to adjust so we can both have the opportunity to drive. Inertia reel type are not suitable as believe that there is no suitable fitting points. Any suggestions
StevehS3
My 2012 Classic came with inertia reel belts and I think most/all 7s will take them. Mine felt quite unsafe and my first job was to remove them.
SM25T
Are your 4 point harnesses the awful ones that just click two halves together ? Personally think they are hopeless. Inertia reel belt can be fitted in the little triangular compartment in the top of the wheel arch ... but they don't feel anywhere near right in a Caterham. Removed mine. Proper 4 point harnesses with wide belts and twist release is the way.
Larkingabout
Agree re the 4 point click type but better than inertia reel in my opinion. Just in the process of getting rid of my existing clunk/click 4 points for a pair of nice new blue Luke harnesses. Finished polishing it so had to do something else!! SM25T
They are just nasty ... threading your arms through the captive belts, etc, etc
