Manstein
Great jaunt over the fells today Middleton-Brough-Sedbergh and onwards to Tan Hill via Hawes and the Buttertubs. Best bit for me was the final few miles up West Stonesdale to the pub.
Paul Mason
Would agree Chris, the last few miles up to the Tan Hill were sublime. I even managed to get out of 2nd gear having recovered from the horrors of the Buttertubs where I was holding up vans, caravans, horse and carts and was even overtaken by a couple of sheep! Manstein
Buttertubs is certainly the fastest route between Wensleydale and Swaledale but there's plenty of quieter alternatives such as Grinton Moor, Summer Lodge and Crow Trees. If you have a spare afternoon we could do the lot Paul.
