Petethediesel Posted January 11, 2019 Share Posted January 11, 2019 I'm looking to but a pair of SPA mirrors, so my question to you all is: With SPA products do the flat or Convex mirror lenses work best on a Caterham?. I had SPA mirrors but got fed up with them coming loose every time they got nudged ...and having to get the Allen key out every time. Changed to Large carbon effect convex mirrors from Car Builder Solutions. Decent mirrors. Good friction setting of mirror heads without the need for tools. SM25T Posted January 11, 2019 Share Posted January 11, 2019 Superb rear vision .... can reverse accurately just looking in the mirrors. Can also see the whole mirror glass on the nearside mirror ... not partially masked by the widescreen surround like the SPA one was. Need to drill stanchion 5.0mm and tap M6x1 ... but unscrew stanchion from screen before drilling and insert a bit of wood in the gap to keep drill away from screen.
