Tazio
When I bought my 1990 BDR, it came with S Type seats, so the answer must be yes.

eric
I saw in a catalogue that the seats change from 1990 .... so the question for 1989 chassis is still alive .
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted November 25, 2018 Leadership Team Share Posted November 25, 2018 Eric, are you referring to the post’96 S-Type (big round headrest) or the earlier type?I’m not familiar with the pre’91 chassis, but S-Type seats bolt directly to the ally floor so any chassis diagonals in this area will cause a problem. There’s two tabs at the bottom of the bulkhead which were originally for the bench seat but these do not interfere with the S-Types.Stu.
Tazio
Eric, as I said, the later S type seats were fitted in my 1990 Imperial Chassis, there were slight Chassis differences, principally at the rear of the car, cockpit was the same. If you have doubts, contact Bruce at Arch, he can advise. I dispensed with the seats, I am a short arse, and found them uncomfortable, front squab too deep, restriced access. Love my Tillet though. . Tazio
And for completeness Eric, my seat runners were mounted directly onto the floor, which has been reinforced with the normal additional aluminium reinforcing strips.
