Dobson_justin
I have decided to change my car in the coming weeks/months. So if anyone is selling a car that is well set up and suitable for track/sprinting then send me a message. I would ideally like either 150bhp, or 200bhp plus. Sigma or Duratec ideally, with LSD and full cage. Obviously I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the right car to come up, but if you are thinking about selling and think it may fit the bill, just message me, even if it does not have all the listed features. This means I will be putting my car up for sale in the coming weeks, probably September (see pics above) depending on the availability of a new car. It is a 235bhp, 2002, 1900K, with forged pistons, jenvey throttle bodies, emerald ecu, Bernard Scouse air box, Brise lightweight starter motor, Evans waterless coolant, carbon cam cover, Powerspeed exhaust with zircotec coated exhaust primaries, and the engine has done less than 2000 miles since being built by Dave Andrews at DVA, and the car has only done 6,500 miles in total. It only weighs around 480kgs so has performance close to an R500. The car has lots of other features that I will list when the full listing is created including carbon 5,3/4” headlights, clear indicator lenses, carbon wing protectors, cxr black alloys, new radtec radiator, all new fuel lines and filter, new battery, and will include half hood with colour matched stripes to bodywork, half doors, and full doors. The Reg is K77 SVN, and whilst I would like to keep this, I will be flexible to discuss if required. I will really miss this car as it has been brilliant. I will list it for sale properly in September, but wanted to share with club members first. If interested in getting more details, just message me. Comp Sec
What class are you aiming for Justin, as if you are looking at Class 2 / 3 at 150BHP you need to make sure that it does comply with the regulations.Something to consider is keeping your current car and looking at what tweeks can be done. i.e. LSD, Aero, cage or other tweeks. Dobson_justin
A few more pics of my car. It will be put up for sale on ebay and piston heads the week after next. Thought I would give the opportunity for first refusal here. Spec as per earlier posts on this thread. 235bhp 1.9k, great engine, pulls smoothly, and is docile at low revs, and just keeps building power through the rev range. Engine has done less than 2k miles since being upgraded. Mileage 6434 in total. Bodywork is not perfect, (but how many are?), but it has been good enough for me. It weighs less than 500kg (485kg I think), so has close to R500 performance. Mechanically it is spot on and has never once let me down. Serviced in February, and limited mileage since. It has had a flat floor set up. I have looked after it carefully - New radtec radiator, new fuel filter and fuel lines, Avon ZZS, I replaced the boot floor a year ago, and new banner battery 2months ago. MOT until March, never had an MOT issue. It has only had one previous owner from new. Sale includes, half hood as pictured, half doors, full doors and tonneau cover. I want to retain the Reg number, but open for discussion if required.Asking price is £17,999. It is in Wakefield. If you want more pictures, or more details, just PM me. I will not be able to do viewings until the week after next, but will take any requests on a first come first served basis.
