Switched live on brake switch?

Everything is as normal.

The new beeper module I bought for the indicators has an extra wire, so that if brakes are on it doesn’t beep. This needs to be wired into brake live wire.

I tried both sides of the white plunger switch at the pedal, but that didn’t cancel the beeper. I also tried direct to the brake lights at the fuse box.

I'd test the new module with an arbitrary known good live feed to check that it does suppress.

...

Where are the two probes when you're testing the wires at the switch, and which range setting on the multimeter? Does it reliably identify other live circuits?

Being impatient and thinking fault was with the beeper wiring I thought about it a while and fitted a micro switch operated by brake pedal in tandem with brake light switch. This I wired to the buzzer itself. So if I press brake pedal the buzzer is silenced.

This might be a simple mod to those with beepers as standard, who either think it’s too loud or annoying at lights.
