David aka Blue7
I am replacing the seat belts on my CSR (2 yrs. old), the lower bolts and top outer bolts all move quite easily but the two top INNER bolts that secure the belts to the boot just won't shift and the hex heads are smaller than all the other 6 bolts. For avoidance of doubt the two bolts I am referring to are behind and left of driver's shoulder and behind and right of passenger's shoulder.I am wary of putting too much pressure on the bolts incase I shear the heads off. Is there something I am missing or does it just need brute force to turn them?Problem solved ... I discovered there is a nut on the other end of the bolt. It still took some brute force to shift it and fortunately I could get a metric socket on one end and an a/f socket on the nut inside the very tight space in the frame.David
SM25T
Just make sure they are not longer bolts that go right through with nuts in the boot ? You never know.
