Pre 96 Narrow track Caterham Bilstein Damper length?

Hi all,

To help with some fault diagnosis does anyone have the open and closed lengths of standard narrow track Bilstein dampers please.

From a 1995 or earlier car, where the upper damper mount was also the wishbone mount.

Hi Andy, you probably want to ask me or Mankee! My Billies are in the loft since I fitted your old Ohlins, I think they still have the springs on though. If I can dig them out, do you want the length of the front & rear, without springs? I was planning on going into the garage tonight so will dig them out.

Hi Tom,  

That would be great. For just the fronts, I need to know the open and closed lengths, centre to centre of the bolt holes and also the length of the damper body itself from the end where the rod goes in to centre of the eye hole.

Had/having a few issues with the new ones:(

Hi Andy, 

ive got them  down, but it's too late to strip the springs and measures them now. I'll try tomorrow. I've got widetrack extension prices so that will need subtracting. 

Sorry yours aren't working out well, did you get the Ti de-Dion sorted?

sorry to drag this thread up but do you have measurements on your pre96 damper lengths open with the extension piece added?

Looking for centre of top eye to centre of bottom eye.
