Roger Ford
Anybody got a decent quality stereo amplifier knocking around that they'd be willing to part with for not a lot of money? My son wants to move on from the "bluetooth speaker" stage and get some decent music playing equipment. There are plenty of good speakers - especially floor standers - on ebay, but not too many decent amps. Not looking for a surround sound / home cinema amp, just a simple stereo one. Ideally British or Marantz/Denon or similar. Tone controls would be an advantage until I can educate him that they're not needed! Not easy to post such things, so would need to be somewhere vaguely near to Twickenham. Wrightpayne
If unsuccessful perhaps try Richer Sounds - they often have unboxed / re furb'd stuff on offer.Ian

LazerBrain
Hiya Roger,One of my mates has been talking about selling his separates system recently. I think it was Marantz amp, Denon tuner, Rogers speakers on stands. Not sure what cd player. He's based near Reading - I'm sure we could get it to my gf's work in Old Windsor if needed. Let me know if interested and I'll get more details.
Roger Ford
Thanks for the info folks. I've just dug out my old Myst TMA3, which has a dodgy volume control, and managed to source a replacement potentiometer. So I'll give that a go first. If it proves to be beyond my soldering skills I'll be open to other offers.
