Dixa1225
Replacing outer drive shaft boot & rear diff oil seal on my K series roadsport . Just need to know if you have to repack the Rear Wheel Bearing - Hub with grease . Looking at the hub, looks like I would need to replace the hub seals both sides to re-grease. What do people normally do ?

martyn
I've had very conflicting advice regarding the rear wheel bearings. Ranging from: "they're not user serviceable - check for play and replace as necessary" all the way to: "its an annual service item - pull back the seal, clean and regrease".So I'm quite interested in the collective group wisdom on this. DJ.
In my opinion, most modern wheel bearings are sealed for life and generally go on for many years without being touched. The front bearings are a very old design and do need servicing, but I plan to just replace the bearing carriers/bearing s at the back when they are required.
