Alex Miles
Need someone in the Yorkshire area to sort my leaking diff seals, any suggestions? Haven't the space or tools to do them myself before you ask!
Nigel Riches
And what type of diff would that be?
Dr Slotter
Any local independent BMW specialist might be worth contacting.

Alex Miles
Yeh it's a Bmw diff, Caterham Leicester had two goes at sorting it before they shut, someone on here must have a man in Yorkshire they trust!
aerobod - near CYYC
If it is the left or right drive shaft seals leaking, it is important that the seals have been inserted only flush with the face of the casting and no further, as they seal only about 2 or 3mm on to the shaft shoulder. Also it should be checked that the springs in the CV joints are fully pushing the shafts in to the diff, if the diff is off centre this may not be the case, causing a leak on the side that the diff is furthest away from.
