Dartmoor7
I have a 1994 1400SS. When I bought it in 1999, it came with a boot cover and tonneau to fit an FIA type rollbar, the holes in the boot cover are too big for my standard 1994 era rollbar. I bought a new boot cover to suit. Now I want to sell the 'FIA' type cover but am not quite sure how to describe it. For instance it doesn't have the 'strengthening' bar along the front edge that my other one does.A friend with a 1995 Crossflow also has a cover with no strengthening bar, but his fits a standard rollbar.Does anyone know the history of boot cover fitment? 7 wonders of the world
Best to put which rollbar it fitted:FIA single or double diagonal as these were made by either Safety Devices or Caged and the tube diameters differ,Also I'm guessing its a standard depth boot cover for use with hoodsticks? If its the shallow version for use without hoodsticks then I'm interested in buying it please
Dartmoor7
It looks standard depth to me.Don't know how I could tell which 'fatter' rollbar it fitted, just definitely not the old 1994 pattern standard one.https://www.flickr.com/photos/41857625@N03/24469918836/in/dateposted-public/
Grubbster
If the strengthening bar is the ali strip along the front edge of the boot cover then I wouldn't worry about it, lots of people remove these when fitting boot covers to make it easier. Dartmoor7
>>If the strengthening bar is the ali strip along the front edgeYes, that is what I meant. The holes for the rear tubes are about 55mm by 45mm, for the fronts about 40mm.
