I think the part you need is a 3/8 NPT blanking plug, I got an ali one from Aeroflow, however it was rather pricey for what it is. Try an engineering supply or plumbers merchants, they will probably have brass items, or "Think Automotive" usually have plenty of parts for car plumbing. I hope you get it sorted soon.
