CycleSi
We're about to replace the orange rubber anti roll bar bushes and can't work out how to get them into position. Do you simply remove the ARB and slide them along over the end having disconnected the watts linkage?
Leadership Team Garry7 Posted November 24, 2014 Leadership Team Share Posted November 24, 2014 Yes, best put them in boiling water for a bit, apply lube to the bar, put on thick gloves and PUUUSH.They do go on............................................................good luck. Dr Slotter
For future reference (I posted this in answer to CycleSi's similar question on PH yesterday):Assuming you're replacing knackered ones: - Cut the old ones off with a knife. - Warm up the new ones in some hot water. - Liberally apply neat washing up liquid to ARB. - Loop a medium size cable tie through bush and fasten. - Push bush onto end of ARB as far as you can. - Using the cable tie as a handle, pull it round the joint. - Wash off washing up liquid. Takes 10 minutes.
simonpa
Silicon spray is your friend - no need to warm them up - they just push over the shoulder :)
