Stationary M25 Traveller
Going to look at a local R500 EU2 k-series this evening. Seems it has no spark. Any advice on logical method of troubleshooting after ECU fuse ? I have a full set of sensors ... so can try substituting one by one. Harry No Sheds Flatters
Rotor arm and coil are both known to give trouble

ECR
From Oily "What to check if you have no Spark at the Plugs Although there are many sensors that can fail, there are very few that will stop the spark, most will simply cause incorrect adjustments to the fuelling or timing. If you are getting no spark then either you have a very low battery, a wiring fault, a faulty CPS or a faulty ECU .  A faulty TPS or MAP sensor will not stop the spark, in fact the ECU will still fire the coils with no TPS connected or with a bad MAP signal. I would check the continuity of the loom connections, the loom appears to be quite stretched on VVC cars. Check the CPS wiring particularly, if you can swap the CPS for a know good one, see what transpires"
Stationary M25 Traveller
Update. Spring carbon pin in distributor cap worn down to nothing. Halfords not interested in selling parts to fix cars .... just car cleaning and bling.  Swapping CPS made no difference. Coil fairly inaccessible ....... two wires on input .... is this just 12V ? Harry No Sheds Flatters
I would replace both the dizzy cap and rotor arm

Ozzy
In ten years of owning it, my car has let me down once! Luckily, this was a couple of hundred yards from the Pub 😬 As seen in the long push! Same thing, no sparks. Turned out it was the rotor arm, which happily, Mr RAC had on his van.  Could be as simple and cheap as that.
