joining brake pipes

Recommended Posts

I want to remove my brake bias adjuster as I suspect it may be implicated in the brake binding issues I've been suffering.

That will leave me with two flared ends of brake pipe that can probably be pushed together with only very minor bending of the pipe.

Is there a simple fitting I can get which will join these two pipes? I don't really want to have to replace the entire pipe run if I can avoid it.

You probably make need to make an adaptor.

I'm guessing the adjuster will have male unions with single flares. A short adaptor pipe with female flare nuts and double flares should join them. (effectively replacing the in-line adjuster)

or this here which Jonathan linked to, if the pipes will pull close enough together.
