malcolm1sim
Morning All, Duratec R300, has anyone had a problem with cone air filter rubbing on heater hoses. If so have they come up with a fix, other than cable tying hoses out of way. That does strain them a tad though. Seems to me it needs small offset on filter and possibly and extension of some sort. myothercarsa2cv
What size filter do you need? SM25T found a K&N with a slightly angled neck that kinks it away from whatever is in the way. An offset neck might also work. Of course the only real options are: 1) Ditch the heater you big wimp 2) Upgrade to roller barrels 3) Both of the above Joking aside, I think the newer plenum is straight so that an airbox can be used. That might also be an option.
malcolm1sim
Thanks for that. Of course you are correct on all counts. Currently looking into the SM25T solution. as it is an SV I have lots of room!

malcolm1sim
G..7 Thanks for that, and I would love a look as they say. That said, I think an offset filter may be a more economical fix. Cheers for now.
Stationary M25 Traveller
I think my washable and re-oilable K&N has an angled offset of about 10º ?
