elan_fan
Does anyone have any idea if the bolt pattern and end of the crank is the same on a zetec out of an automatic focus as the manual focus engine. A better way of putting it is "is there a zetec specifically for automatics?"
7 wonders of the world
Can't image Ford use a different crank for slush models - would be no benefit usual practice is just a change of flywheel to torque convertor and sometimes cams and a remap
CaterBram
Have a look at here Another thing to bear in mind is that if your donor engine was connected to an automatic gearbox, the crank position sensor housing will need replacing by one from a manual Zetec. This is available cheaply from Ford and has a FINIS code of 1663863.
Gun Bunny
Don’t know the answer to your question , but know a couple of people have been caught out after changing from the automatic flywheel & trying to use the automatic crank position sensor to run off a manual flywheel. I think the seating shroud needs removing or adding from the CPS . Olly
