Does anyone have any idea if the bolt pattern and end of the crank is the same on a zetec out of an automatic focus as the manual focus engine. A better way of putting it is "is there a zetec specifically for automatics?"

Can't image Ford use a different crank for slush models - would be no benefit usual practice is just a change of flywheel to torque convertor and sometimes cams and a remap

Another thing to bear in mind is that if your donor engine was connected to an automatic gearbox, the crank position sensor housing will need replacing by one from a manual Zetec. This is available cheaply from Ford and has a FINIS code of 1663863.

Don’t know the answer to your question , but know a couple of people have been caught out after changing from the automatic flywheel & trying to use the automatic crank position sensor to run off a manual flywheel. I think the seating shroud needs removing or adding from the CPS .
