I have got to replace my rear number plate does anybody know what adhesive caterham cars use and if so where could I get it from or something very similer cheers guys

Try heavy duty Velcro

I use 3M No more nails on a roll ...... double-sided adhesive tape ..... the one for Exterior Use.

 

It has a red backing on the roll. About £5/roll from the likes of B&Q ...... in the adhesives area.

Sikaflex or a Polyurethane Adhesive - there a several eg Tiger Seal

 

I personally would use double sided trim tape though

Sticky pads, as above. Make sure they're warm: shouldn't be too hard at the moment.

The great thing about sticky pads, is if you need to remove the plate some fishing line or dental floss cuts through them easily

Whatever CC use is not up to the job, my front number plate came off several times in the first 2000 miles and CC put it back on each time whilst doing other work.

I got fed up with it falling off and used the 3M tape as recommended by SM25T. 6500 miles later still stuck on and rock solid. Also used it to fit my high level brake light under the roll bar - again rock soild, thoroughly recommended.

2 off, M5 stainless m5 socket button head screws, with stainless nylocs. Don't fall off, and you can remove them whenever you want if you wish too 😬

My front CC bonded plate started to come adrift the other day so after researching blatchat I remounted it with the 3M double sided tape option .... four days later on the M27 it came off again. It was on solid so I am puzzled as to why it came off .. I probably did not prepare the nose cone properly.. Anyway went to B n Q and bought their heavy duty velcro ... its back on and survived its test flight yesterday.

Needs to be stuck to the sides of the opening too. If just stuck along the horizontal lower edge, it will flex in the air flow until the adhesion fails.

Agreed. The coloured plastic bolts work too.
