Hi All,

 

I have a 2006 K-Series which will be due an MOT soon. The exhaust system on this is the race system: http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=199

 

Has anyone here fitted a cat into this system for MOT? Alternatively has anyone had a Powerspeed cat/silencer made up to fit this? Would be interested in pics if you've had this done.

Hi there

 

I've got the same system, but I changed to the old system for the MOT with the CAT.

 

I went to my MOT station and we looked at any potential loop-holes, here is a copy of the manual which gives very little flexibility: http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repository/Emissions%2017th%20Edition.pdf you'll see the emissions by Caterham chassis / engine numbers.

 

At one point I'll fit the CAT exhaust to the race manifold. I'll need to weld a reducer and a link pipe in and it should work.

I have a silencer with cat cut off from a K series, i also have a 2" connection to weld to it, i dont have the rear exit part. This system would make it easy to swap for MOT. Let me know if you need it.
