old gimmer
Trying to remove the handbrake sleeve , Tech Talk suggestion was twist and pull, tried that but the handbrake is twisting under the tunnel cover, any other ideas please.
6speedmanual
If it has been glued on it may be impossible to shear the adhesive. Cut it off. I believe it is a Discovery I item. I go without a grip. Keeping it in the box in the garage has saved me about 900 Kg miles so far. It has also allowed the h/brake quadrant to be modified so it nestles deeper in its hollow keeping it flush with the tunnel top when off. With the bulky grip, lowering the lever into its hollow makes it vrry hard to get hold of to pull it up. Peter
Stationary M25 Traveller
It does just push on to the metal handbrake. Should just twist to break grip then slide off.
Grubbster
If it is the new style handbrake lever then it doesn't come off (a cheap and nasty plastic one now, not the nice rubber one like it used to be)
