Andy Doughty
My Son is trying to use a Standard Ford Duratec Alternator with an aftermarket ecu which has yet to be bought. This is on a MK 2 Escort so he need the high output. On the original Mondeo set up I understand that the ECU controls the output. Is there an "idiots guide" as to how we can make this work? Do any of the aftermarket ECUs offer this function? I have browsed the internet but I am unsure. Cheers Andy D
Molecular--Bob
I believe the life racing ecu can do this, but no idea how it's done. They will certainly be able to tell you if it can be done. But will be a LOT cheaper to just use a normal fixed output kit from retro ford / raceline etc.

Andy Doughty
Thanks for the info Bob. Elie, the engine came with it and with 4 spots, headlights and heated screens it's nice to have the output to be on "top of the job"
