Scott Dabinett
Now I have got the caterham I decided to sell my mx5 as having two 2 seater cars was a bit impractical. The mx5 went yesterday so I am looking for a small diesel just for work. Was wondering if anyone had anything? Looking to spend around £2500, want something cheap insurance and tax Let me know
Molecular--Bob
Don't have one to sell, but was very happy with a Seat Cordoba like this here that we ran for two years. Same chassis and engine as the same age fabia vrs. any vag garage can service it as it's essentially a polo. It has 130hp, and i got nearly 70mpg on a careful run. And should you feel the need it is happy to be remapped to the 150tdi spec. Edited by - Molecular--Bob on 20 Jan 2013 19:25:
SUPERLIGHT91
I recommend the Seats and VWs - I have run a 51 Lupo 1.4 TDI for 7 years now after buying it 2nd hand with just 20k miles from new. These are brilliant little cars, diesels and mine regularly returns 65mpg (real) on a 20mile daily commute, tax is only £30 too.
tangomikeromeo
I have an 05 Golf that will be looking for a new home when the snow clears and I can get it out of the garage for a spruce up. If that's a small car to you let me know - there might be a deal to be done.
jchasey
I've got an Alfa GT diesel that I've been very happy with for last three years (its done 155,000 now). Planning on changing it soon, but havn't managed to find anything that I like better in that size/price bracket....
rj
If I went for a VAG I'd stay with the 1.9 engine. Too many problems with the 2.0 TDI. I'd prefer one that had not been running on longlife oil, and not the flexible service intervals.
