On my 21 there is two position for fitting the suspension, one in the middle of the tube, the second underneath the DE Dion tube. The suspension was originally fitted on "underneath" setting It seems the position in the middle of the tube is a slight angle compared to the underneath position which is straight down Why 2 positions? simonpa Posted August 6, 2012 Share Posted August 6, 2012 The dampers are different lengths. Not sure why the different tube designs, though. Johnty Lyons Posted August 6, 2012 Share Posted August 6, 2012 It's historical the earlier cars used shorter dampers mounted through the tube there where many of these tubes in stock at Arch when the suspension w as changed to longer dampers so the existing tubes where modified by welding a small tube underneath .
