Pat the Plumber
what difference does this make which way it's fitted. What's best, right or wrong?
The Pikey
it alters the bump steer. If I remember right on your imperial chassis the clamps want fitting with the larger half towards the ground so they raise the rack. Jason
Paul Deslandes
with the early rack clamps where both halves are the same, to eliminate bumpsteer the rack needs raising a further 8 to 9mm. So if the two halves of yours are different thicknesses then definitely put the thicker half underneath.

Pat the Plumber
I'm amazed, bought another steering rack, new clamps, no nuts and bolts supplied. The new clamps have top stamped into them, so should have looked first Another CC scam or just forgot to put them in the box?
The Pikey
Pat the halves marked top got on the bottom on your chassis! On the metric chassis it's the other way round... Bolts don't come with them... Jason
