CB
I have just invested in an AIM Solo lap timer, and now need to work out how best to fit it (ideally without drilling holes in the dash). It can't be tucked too far out of the way as it needs to be able to get a GPS signal. Anyone done this / have any suggestions? thanks, Chris
Roger Ford
Do you have a screen?
Roger Ford
My laptimer's mounted on the dash behind the screen with clear Dual Lock, but that power input socket is going to make that impossible: http://shop.aim-tec.co.uk/ekmps/shops/aimtec/images/solo-front-view.jpg
James_Russell
Mine is stuck to the dash with Velcro. Simplify and add lightness!
Grubbster
What about just sticking it on the steering wheel using the magnets, that's what I heard someone suggest before. I wonder if movement of the wheel would affect it? ETA not with the power lead attached of course! CB
Putting it on the steering wheel may well be a good start (I hadn't thought of that - had forgotten that the pad comes off the wheel) - at least until I find some better way . thanks all. Roger Ford
I would think the constant rotation might upset the GPS pickup. Any room on your dash for a bit of Dual Lock? (Miles better than Velcro).
