mud flap

Recommended Posts

I had mud flaps on Eugene for many years.

The front ones were bonded directly to the cycle wings, the rears used an 'L' shaped bracket with 'U' clamps.

Worked very well. Only took them off during a re-build, and never got around to putting them back on.

Before I bought longer front wings, I used a flat piece of 5mm thick rubber to make a mud flap, and bonded some studs with perforated square heads inside the bottom of the cycle wings, then attached the rubber sheet to the studs with some large flat washers, so the rubber flap hung down below the wing.

Guess you could do somethign similar on the rear wings too.

They must have heard about your sticky tyres 😬 😬
