michaeljclark
Does anyone know if it's a stright swap (I'm hoping undo bolts, swap belts, do new bolts up) From: 4 pt Std Belts To: 4pt QR Belts It's an SV if that matters Mike Edited by - michaeljclark on 5 Mar 2011 19:13:
Angus
Michael I am pretty sure it is. You could check with Caterham if you wanted to be certain.

michaeljclark
The 2010 build manual shows the 4pt QR's and the 6pt too and they all attach to the same point (should have checked the build manual first I guess) Thanks for the help Mike
jj48
Hi Michael-do not think your seats will have to come out. All you need to do is slide the seat forward to gain enough access to remove bolts etc. Did one a few months ago and not much of a problem. myothercarsa2cv
Shout if you need a hand. It's pretty simple, just make sure you torque them up enough I do now realise that for passengers, the road harnesses are probably better as most people struggle to figure out the QR ones... michaeljclark
Cheers John, will do Trip to the 'factors coming up - need a Torque Wrench (so as not to be a "borrower" all the time), and then I believe my tool kit will look respectable!!! Collecting the belt (drivers side only) tomorrow, hope to fit the weekend (on lates this week and it will be dark by the time I get home Mike
myothercarsa2cv
Do you have the X brace FIA bar? Or standard one? I don't remember... Might need to pop that off to get the harness bolts out... P.S. Halfords wrenches are excellent, recommend those. Edited by - myothercarsa2cv on 7 Mar 2011 13:40:
michaeljclark
Standard and unless there is a major "gotcha" it doesn't need taking off from what I can ses Halfords - thanks, got one of those 2 mins away! I shall pay them a visit! Mike
