Tricky Dicky 40
Having just completed a rebuild I am questioning if after say 500 miles I should re-torque the head bolts as I am getting conflicting answers, any definate answers would be appreciated. CageyH
I would say it is a bad idea, as they are stretch bolts, torqued up to a value, and then tightened through a further defined angle. What would you torque them to? Only dead fish go with the flow....!
7 wonders of the world
No need for re torque. Too young to be old !
The Outcast
It's the short answer you can't as they are not torqued in first place just think about it they are stretch bolts. you don't have a final torque figure. 😬
