CaterBram
I use the Halfords advance in the silver bottle mixed 50/50 with water. first time I change the coolant I flushed several times with water including back flushing the heater & radiator to get the crud out. before refilling. Q469 WET, 1990 1690 Xflow Long Cockpit in Ali except for the red bits. .CaterBram on Facebook
elie boone
I depends more what material your rad is, copper rads do not like the modern red or pink antifreeze, no problem for the ali rad.
Stef
Oh, got me worried now. Was going to go to halfords tomorrow and get the stuff caterbram uses...... But now I'm not sure. Â No idea what Rad I have its just a totally standard 1700 super sprint from 1989. Any ideas?
alextangent
Just buy the cheaper blue stuff. It needs changed every two years, but if your hoses are anything like mine, you'll be replacing them and the coolant every two years too. You really can't go very wrong as long as you don't mix the blue with the pink.   Alex McDonald Loud, louder, loudest... 😬
