Lotus Series 2 and 3 Vertical Uprights

I don't know if anybody can tell me whether the vertical uprights on the front hub assembly on a Series 2 and 3 Lotus 7 are similar to the current Caterham models?

 

What I really need to know is whether or not it is possible to simply bolt a new calliper that would fit a current model onto the vertical.

I think they are Herald/Spitfire uprights with a trunnion. Prehaps similiar to early LA Caterhams, rather than the current ones with a spherical lower joint.

I think so - in that I took a set of Caterham calipers and bolted them to a set of Triumph uprights used on a real kit-car - a Dutton Phaeton. And I believe Caterham S2 and 3 uprights (with trunnion) are Stanpart parts.

The early Caterhams use the Triumph Spitfire Mk4 uprights, and as far as I know Caterham initially didn't change anything from the Series 3 Lotus.
