MAURY712
I am working to replace a rear wing (fiber glass) do you think it s a good thing to use some nylon nut and bolt as mecanical fuse .... or the standard ones (maybe in stainless steel) thank you 1996 road legal 7HPC
jingars
Yes, I did the same (on the recommendation of the Caterham Parts Dept) after I said hello to a cone on a track day. Apparently a lot of the racers do it for the reason you suggest - to save the side skin. Caterham do the nut and bolt which I ordered with my wings, but others have sourced them locally. shn7
Yes and the other option is to only use half od the holes so that if they do get damaged you can use the others next time. Steve. RiF
I tried years ago and the nylon bolts broke under daily use. Getting the end of the nylon thread out of the riv-nuts without removing internal panelling was impossible. Gone back to steel bolts  RiF Building a real super SUPER 7 with a V6 😬 😬 😬.For Build Pictures and LOTS of Carbon or try CA07BON for Henrietta's
