Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted August 10, 2009 Area Representative Share Posted August 10, 2009 OK: by "best" I think I need strongest and I think I need contact adhesive but willing (keen) to receive opinions on what is required. Task: Hood on the 21. I have a vinyl hood at the moment and wish to fit the cloth "mohair" (not that there is any mohair in the canvas material) hood I have ready. At the front of the 21 hood there are two parts. On the hood itself there is slightly flexible rib within a folded pocket of the hood material. This needs to be glued to the rigid GRP bar which is the mount for the over-the-centre clips which attach to the windscreen. Lots of stuff here on Sikaflex, to fix cycle wings, which must be subject to at least as much pressure as the fixing on the hood. Is is Sikaflex 221 which is used? Or contact adhesive? Evostick? Or is there something better? Democratic dissent is not disloyalty, it is a positive civic duty.

Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted August 11, 2009 Author Area Representative Share Posted August 11, 2009 Hi JJ, I am told that Sikaflex 221 dies not stick to cloth well. So Evostick it is. Hi SM25T, I think I have the answer, thank you. Democratic dissent is not disloyalty, it is a positive civic duty.
