Best adhesive?

OK: by "best" I think I need strongest and I think I need contact adhesive but willing (keen) to receive opinions on what is required.

 

Task: Hood on the 21. I have a vinyl hood at the moment and wish to fit the cloth "mohair" (not that there is any mohair in the canvas material) hood I have ready.

At the front of the 21 hood there are two parts. On the hood itself there is slightly flexible rib within a folded pocket of the hood material. This needs to be glued to the rigid GRP bar which is the mount for the over-the-centre clips which attach to the windscreen.

 

Lots of stuff here on Sikaflex, to fix cycle wings, which must be subject to at least as much pressure as the fixing on the hood. Is is Sikaflex 221 which is used?

 

Or contact adhesive? Evostick? Or is there something better?

I would use Evostick.

Hi Golf Juliet tango we use Scotchweld 847 contact adhesive on the trim on the Aircraft and it sticks like hell, I don't no were you could get some but I am saw if you google there will be a stockist Regards Paul
