jonboylaw
All, Just wondering who supplies a rear ARB for a live axle car. Specifically I am looking for a kit for a Ford English axle. Is this a bolt on kit or does the axle need some welding ? Any input appreciated (with in reason). Jon
Howard R
Freestyle make an adjustable anti roll bar kit which is bolt on - should fit a Ford axle. See here Green Fireblade Pilot
philwaters
Sorry Howard, but that is for a DDion rear end, not a LA. I've been looking for the same but haven't found anything. Only reference I've found so far is Ratrace have done it before, it needed some minor welding and use, I think,a standard front roll bar. Decided to leave it until the winter to investigate further. Bulkbuy? 😬 Phil Waters
Howard R
I have a LIVE AXLE Fireblade with a very nice Freestyle rear anti roll bar fitted - works really well thanks 😬 Have you spoken to Freestyle
philwaters
I apologise Howard 😶🌫️ Do you have any pictures? Which axle are you running, Ford or Ital or James Whiting Ital special? I can't see any place on my Ford axle to attach a ARB to, I only have the damper and A-frame points, nothing else. Phil Waters
Howard R
No worries . I have an Ital - not sure if it's a special or not If I get chance - I'll take a photo the brackets.
jonboylaw
Thanks Howard, I think I should give Freestyle a call and discuss it with them. Phil, if you find an alternative source, please let me know. Jon
philwaters
Hi Howard, Don't suppose you've had chance to take a couple of snaps of your arrangement have you? Phil Waters
Howard R
Sorry for the delay See here - 2 photos. Simple piece of angle bolted to the bottom bracket (possibly for a leaf spring when the axle was used in other cars types ) connected to the drop link and antiroll bar. philwaters
Thanks Howard - Does look simple enough, although I am without those brackets on my axle... that'll make it more interesting Phil Waters
Howard R
Phil You may be able to bracket off the stiffner plate to the rear of the axle or possibly the suspension mount
philwaters
Don't worry, I think I have a cunning plan 😬 Thanks for your help and good luck with the sale (although you know you'll miss it!!) Phil Waters
