Wight Skipper
If I remove the spare wheel (as it has never been used!) and bracket I gather I will need a new number plate light. Which one do people use and where can I get one from? Is this the only new part required? Ta.
Frying Pan
Number plate lamp & mounting bracket (rivets on to the rear spaceframe) -----See some pictures of the build here. 16000 miles completed!
David Lynch
Hijack (but related)... Love to know standard route of cable (i.e. where does it enter chassis before coming through the spare carrier) as also about to do this. Can't see for the Tank Honeycomb and don't fancy removing it.... EN Yorks 7's Flickr
Windy Corner
Why can't you use the same one ??? I added a spare wheel carrier and relocated the original light, then have also removed the carrier, so put light back again, now it back on again so light relocated again. Adrian Williams
It's the same light (design changed fairly recently) but with an ali bracket as per 7heavensoon's link. Wiring is routed around the back of the space frame and doesn't go over the tank. Adrian
TIM 5O
I had been waiting ages for the bracket as per 7heavensoon link as Caterham was out of stock however they had a small quantity delivered yesterday so if you need one
Windy Corner
That makes sense Adrian, mine already had the bracket, as the car was originally supplied without the spare wheel. 😬 Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
bobt
You don't need a rear number plate light with one of these: http://scaperformance.co.uk/Brightplate.aspx Ordered one at the stoneleigh show. Look great
