Aeroscreen benefits

Am I correct in thinking that having aeroscreens instead of the full windscreen improves the handling as well as wind resistance? I'm sure I heard somewhere that the car will feel more planted. Am I right or not?

Not noticed any difference to the handling myself. It will go a bit faster though.

i don't think it will improve handling. But as you've reduced the frontal area bu about 1/3rd it will go faster and get there quicker.

Same here, only noticed that I need to apply the brake a little on coming to an island, with the windscreen on I'd just take the foot off the accelerator and the car would quickly slow down.

Other benefit is it just feels brilliant!

Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere

Ric, depends how low you sit. I can't see the kerbs of roundabouts, but if I sit upright a bit I can.

 

But there you go, I've always been a layabout.

Removing the windscreen will reduce the overall weight of the car and very slightly lower the centre of gravity - both will potentially give very small improvements to the handling. The aerodynamic differences mentioned above will give the greater effect on overall performance.
