AndyBram
Sent mine yesterday, will be my first ever event. Time to start going over an ever growing check list of things not to forget ❗ I'm sure there'll be something 😳 Silly question but what time does scrutineering tend to be? Can't decide yet whether to travel on the day or the night before. Cheers Andy Mainly Red, apart from the bits that are Black. Piccies
andysteele
Andy, Curbs 2, last year, was my first sprint, this will be my second! The more experienced guys were very helpul on the day, so best advice is to buddy up to the guy next to you in the paddock, they are all really friendly. Curbs 2 last year was the following: Sign on opens - 8am (cars 1 to 30), 845am (31 to 60), 930: (61+) Scrutineering - same timing for same numbers. As class 1 we`ll be the first batch of cars, usually run in class order, so you should aim to be ready for 8am really. There will be a drivers briefing, this was 830am (a must for new drivers). You also get a chance to walk the track, but this ends at 845am. Morning pactice runs started at 9am. So i got there before 8am, set the car up, numbers on, timing strut on. Walked the course with some others who`d been before, then did scruitineering all before the 830 briefing, so after the briefing was final checks before first run.
