Chaz23
Thinking that it might be an idea that i changed the brake pads on my 7 as 1) I am not sure how long they have been on there 2) they don't feel to brilliant. After reading the tech talk I have heard that people recommend the Minex 1144 for the front. But what should I put on the rear disc brakes? Also after having a look at the brake discs both front and rear the other day there looks to be large groves on the discs themselves where they have been worn down over time. Is it worth changing them or seeing if I can get them ground down. Any help much appreaciated. ----- 1993 De-Dion 1700 X/FLOW
h_____
disks are 12quid a corner, worth changing them too for that money. Oh and standards on the rear, 1144s onthe front.
mav
Probably worth changing the fluid whilst you're at it, unless it's been changed recently...
Chaz23
Thanks for all the advice. I will most probably go order either tomorrow or Wednesday. ----- 1993 De-Dion 1700 X/FLOW

Stationary M25 Traveller
Not sure about £12 each, but have you tried your local motor factor (the people that sell to the car shops) - they sell to the public.
Bricol
Just over 12 quid each - local motor factors (Airedale Motor Factors, Crosshills) - Triumph Herald/Spitfire. Just done all mine. I've stuck with Caterham pads though - I must be one of the few happy with the original pad choice/balance. Bri

pburt
Chaz Mintex 1144 front, std pads rear Brake fluid should be renewed every 2 years minimum i.e. more frequently if the brakes suffer hard use eg trackdays. Cheers Peter Burt
Chaz23
SM25, thanks for the link. Peter, ah I think its time to change the brake fluid then - I've had the 7 for 2 years at the end of April and I have not changed it. ----- 1993 De-Dion 1700 X/FLOW
