Graham Perry
Twas me. Only me second ever spotted in 18 years 😶🌫️ Today was 'run the new engine in' day and involved me driving backwards and forwards up and down the Essex Autobahn (A120) between Braintree and Stansted airport. I don't think I went over 60 mph once but did manage 100 miles. Engine is now a bit looser but still won't idle smoothly as the internal friction draws the revs down too low for the lumpy cam. Another 100, miles or so should see it running nicely. Next weekend all being well. Did you wave ?
Lotus Boy
Ah I did first think of you but for some reason you didn't look like you if you see what I mean and I didn't know your car. I was actually at the Paddock Garages looking at a car and saw you pull up to the junction...and sit there for a little while waiting for a break in traffic...before heading up to the A120. What is the engine then? Edited by - Lotus Boy on 20 Oct 2008 13:13:
Stationary M25 Traveller
... it is the noisy thing under the bonnet 😬
Graham Perry
My new superquiet all steel crossflow (see, its not noisy SM25T ) , with Raceco silencer and airbox 😬 It now sounds like a low powered K series 😳 Edited by - Graham Perry on 20 Oct 2008 19:54:
