Area Representative Tin Man Posted May 17, 2008 Area Representative Share Posted May 17, 2008 On behalf of a friend - this car has just been put on Pistonheads I'm the 2nd owner from new. Built by Classic Carraige Co and purchased by me when a year old from Millwood in Gloucester. Since then I've improved the car and used it for Sunday blasts and 3 or 4 trackdays a year. Dry Sump (SBD) Vaux 2L 16v XE Engine on webbers Tillet Race seats and harnesses Momo quick release wheel Ford rear axle fitted with Quaife LSD and ARB Caterham replaceable aeroscreen and half doors Full windscreen, doors & weather gear retained Raceco titanium silencer ( £500 - 96db @4500 static) 5 minilite wheels with AO32r's Set of 5 Weller wheels also available The rear panel is damaged due to a nudge from behind whilst stationary. Most of this is behind the spare (see photos taken this week). Other than that it's as expected for year. This is a great car offering a lot of power for the money (est 165bhp) from an engine running well within it's potential. Sadly I've decided to sell as I've not used it since the birth of my son. MOT booked for 31.05 and will be sorted, tax to Nov 08. Please call me for further details or to arrange a viewing. No test pilots or silly offers please. £9250 ono If interested please contact Gary Ball directly - 07793 669866

Mark Piper
Is it true that it' was originally an 8 valve live axle Vauxhall which has now had a 16 valve 2 litre transplant but with 40DCOEs from the old 8 valve bolted on?...which would explain the rather odd power output? Archie Procter
The PH ad says it's a "Ford live rear axle" which I guess would make it an Ital to English Axle conversion?
