flaps7
Speedo not working but appears to be because the 'sqaure' end of the cable (that fits into the speedo) got mullered. Not 100% certain why but think that problem is solved. The, not-so-square, end is not too bad and i reckon a bit of filing will get it back into shape. Its a complete b4st4rd trying to work on the cable in situ. I'm terrified of pulling too much cable out of the sleeve in case something at the other end becomes dislodged or moves out of place and I end up renewing the whole bl00dy thing. Question - how far out can I pull the cable? TA Rick
Casbar
Why don't you just replace the cable
flaps7
fair comment but I thought (wrongly?) that I would need to get to the 'orribly fiddly bit at the gearbox; which don't look easy. Not much room to wield a spanner. Rick
allen
If it's like my cable you can withdraw the whole inner from the speedo end, you will just need to twist it as you push it back in to get it to engage at the other end in the right angle drive. allen

randybugger
you may damage the speedo if the end of the cable is not right
