Fuel Regulator - Orientation question

Fitted the fuel regulator to the new Duratec today. The regulator has the input feed in the side and the output (to the fuel rail) coming out of the bottom.

The easiest way to mount it would be with a very short output hose directly onto the fuel rail - but if I do this the regulator will be laying flat instead of upright. Is this ok or do they have to be mounted upright?

thanks Peter thats what I was hoping to hear *thumbup*

so another question whats the much smaller outlet on the top of the regulator, some sort of breather? and if so doesn't this need to be at the top?

Not really sure but something in the back of my mind tells me it is something to do with a vacuum pipe.......something to do with air pressure / manifold pressure compensation.

Mine isn't connected to anything.......just left as it is.
