MikeE Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Fitted the fuel regulator to the new Duratec today. The regulator has the input feed in the side and the output (to the fuel rail) coming out of the bottom. The easiest way to mount it would be with a very short output hose directly onto the fuel rail - but if I do this the regulator will be laying flat instead of upright. Is this ok or do they have to be mounted upright? R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
MikeE Posted August 27, 2007 Author Posted August 27, 2007 thanks Peter thats what I was hoping to hear so another question whats the much smaller outlet on the top of the regulator, some sort of breather? and if so doesn't this need to be at the top? simonbell Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Not really sure but something in the back of my mind tells me it is something to do with a vacuum pipe.......something to do with air pressure / manifold pressure compensation. Mine isn't connected to anything.......just left as it is. Simon Bell - Caterham 7 Duratec R I`ve seen the future.....and it`s powered by duratec Check out the website here
