Apollo cam cover - foam or no foam???

Thanks chaps *thumbup*, my wife kept me informed of your comments whilst I was working in the garage so I got straight on and re-fitted the cam cover without the foam after locktighting the nut.

 

I am now completely foamless......thank goodness, cant stand the stuff!!

 

I should be back up and running tomorrow. *smile*

If you are worried about the nut falling off - turn the fitting round - put it in from the inside - fit the nut to the outside.

 

Then if the nut does come loose, it can't fall off, or the fitting fall into the engine, as the tube nut on the end of the hose will retain it.

 

If you manage to lose that too - it'll be time to hand over the keys and spanners to someone else . . .
